Title: Percy Jackson and the Olympians – The Lightning Thief
Year: 2015-2016
Author: Rick Riordan

This book is about Percy Jackson, a kid who has is dyslexia and has been kicked out of six schools. His best friend, Grover, is a satyr, Percy’s protector and friend. Zeus, Poseidon’s brother, says that his lighting bolt is stolen, and he accuses Percy of the crime. Everyone thinks that Percy has stolen the lightning bolt. Monsters began trying to kill him, and find out where he hid the lightning bolt. Percy would give it back, but there is only one problem- he doesn’t have it. If Zeus’s lightning bolt isn’t returned by ten days, the gods will be at war. Earth would become a battlefield. Hundreds of people would get killed. Percy and his friends, Grover and Annabeth, set out on a quest to find the lightning bolt.

This book was okay. I wouldn’t say it is one of the best books I read, because at times, I just wanted to put the book down and forget about it. I had to push myself through the book. But at the end, I couldn’t put it down.

Genre: Fantasy
Recommendation: I would only recommend this book if you absolutely love fantasy, otherwise, you shouldn’t bother
